Essence Ink is a practice of intuitive, energetic drawing that translates subtle energy
(sound, emotions, sensations) into visual form.

how it works
how it works

The pen’s movement is guided by sensations that flare up in my body.

The pieces that are created often look like creatures, codes or maps that are often described as both ethereal and ancient.

They are neither planned nor imagined – rather, they emerge from presence, in body and heart.

Once created, each piece is ‘read’: analysed and articulated to depict a message, reflection or wisdom – in the same way one may read a hieroglyphic or analyse a painting.

“Deena’s work is powerful, a true gift, and trusting her with this process has not only given me personified art that feels so special, but proud of who I am — her piece encapsulated a singular moment of time in my life, that I will have forever.

She’s made something timeless.”
