About Deena
Creator • Facilitator • RitualistCreator • Facilitator • Ritualist
I come from a lineage of migrants, sea-people, home-makers, community leaders, ritualists and truth-seekers devoted to the source of life.
My ancestors came from India, Syria and Iraq, and I have spent my life making meaning and magic out of their wisdom, aches & longings that have landed in my heart. I am constantly drawn to and transmuting themes around home, grief, identity, migration, body, breath, nature, community and spirit.
The language I know most fluently is energy.
I am guided by real magic in nature and the unseen realms of sensation and life force. I teach through movement, breath and rhythm and find immense joy in creating experiences that stir & expand hearts; that remind people of the wonder and beauty that is constantly available in Life. I have been doing so for over 12 years.
I have served as a student and assistant in embodiment trainings led by teachers across oceans, from Indonesia to Portugal, Turkey to Pakistan.
I am also currently part of a yearlong training in the Rose Priestess Lineage, diving into the energetic cycles on Earth, the seasons of life and death and nature, feminine archetypes, ritual, ceremony, rites of passage and the wisdom of the heart + womb.
